Intentions for 2015
Exercise every day
I really need to get in better shape, not only for me, but for those I love. I feel sluggish and blah all the time, and I really think my sedentary habits play into this. As such, I intend to do at least some form of excercise every day, be it running on the treadmill or whatever.
Eat better (and less)
Going along with the above intention, all the exercise in the world is not going to make a difference unless I eat better. My problem is not so much the quality of the food I eat, but the quantity. I intend to stop before I feel full.
From Psychology Today, “Mindfulness is a state of active, open attention on the present. When you're mindful, you observe your thoughts and feelings from a distance, without judging them good or bad. Instead of letting your life pass you by, mindfulness means living in the moment and awakening to experience.”
There are a few physical books that I would like to read, as well as a few my wife has suggested I read. I intend to read them.
I plan to take a photo every day, starting Jan 2 and ending on Dec 31. I am posting them here if you would like to follow along.
Become a better writer
I plan to post here on a more regular basis. Practice makes perfect.
I find the culture of Japan fascinating, and there are so many free and useful tools for language learning. Why not learn a new language, right?
I am realizing that kindness is a choice, no matter how we are wired.
