It seems like people begin preparing for Christmas earlier and earlier each year.  What ever happened to Thanksgiving?  I was in our local Target a few days after Halloween. There was a lone “Happy Thanksgiving” sign up in the food section, but the Christmas decorations were already in full swing. People on Facebook have been posting about already having their tree up and their other Christmas decorations out.  On Halloween night, as we were driving to a fall festival in pursuit of candy and fun, one of the local Christian radio stations was already playing Christmas music.  Granted, this may have been their way of protesting the “Devil’s Night”. I love Christmas as much as the next person, but things have seriously gotten out of hand here.

Instead of celebrating Christmas before Thanksgiving, let’s all sit back and remember what we have to be grateful for. I’m stepping off my soapbox now.
